The Rugrats Movie was a film created in 1998 based on the popular Nicktoon Rugrats. The film picks up from the preceding episode, in which Dee Dee is revealed on a cruise to be pregnant. Dee Dee gives birth to a new baby boy, whom they name Dylan Prescott Pickles, or "Dyl Pickles". Dyl, as the youngest member of the family, later serves almost no purpose in the show other than causing burden for Tommy or being basically a prop in their adventures. This is the moment when most fans think that the show jumped the shark.
