Sesame Street is an iconic children's educational program which debuted in the seventies. Originally intended to target inner city kids, hence the urban theme, it has since become popular worldwide and translated into many different languages. Many early sketches, especially those from the seventies, have been commented as being too creepy for later generations. These sketches were phased out generations later but were revived in an "Unpaved" block featuring classic sketches. A major character was Mr. Hooper, who ran a store on Sesame Street. One episode made a major deal over his passing. The show has won many awards and accolades.
